OK you humps...it’s been a while, but that holly-jolly giving-type Christmas kinda spirit (along with football fever and some well-dosed egg nog-age) has us back in “Caption Contest” mode. This is where you give us your best attempt at making something funny, and the entry we deem funniest/stupidest/inappropriatest wins a kickass shirt. So it’s like you can give yourself a Christmas present just for talking football and being a dick How cool is that?

What’s up, Townie folk. Hope everyone had a MFC and is looking forward to a HFNY. The Pats have home field locked up and don’t play a meaningful football game until mid-January, which gives all of our nerves, emotions, fingernails, livers, hearts and souls almost three weeks to recover. And even if they’ve been winning games by enormous margins of late I could use the rest and recoup. For I feel one helluva run is at hand. So as much as I’d like to say “Shit, it needs to be January 15th NOW!” I’ll take the R & R, thank you very little.
NOW, onto our latest caption contest. On Christmas Eve I posted a picture, seen in an entry below, and also on “the Facebook”, a screengrab of Belichick on a corded phone on the sidelines (grabbed from the Pittsburgh game in November). I asked you freaks and football geeks to come up with the funniest caption possible, using the ICanHazCheezburger builder to make your own caption. And waaaaay more of you submitted entries than I originally imagined. Guess you goons had time on your hands, or wanted two free t-shirts. Whatever the case, I’m mighty proud and have to say I enjoyed the shit outta reading the entries. The most consistent theme: making fun of Rex Ryan and his foot fetish freakazoid wife. Good work, people!
But, one entry caught me off-guard. One really came outta left fahkin field and made me laugh out loud (those who write LOL shall die on this site!). For the man who wrote this knows I love random references as much if not more than the next guy, and this one is an all-time favorite. Anyone who quotes AIRPLANE gets points from me, or in this case two t-shirts. Congratufahkinlations to Jonathan Scarborough, with this submission...
The quote in question came from a conversation Lloyd Bridges’ character has with his wife as things are really going to shit. A random pull of an all-time favorite. Winnah! Winnah! 2 shirts for dinnah!
