OK, so we all have drank Belichick’s Kool Aid and know that the preseason doesn’t count, and that only the regular season counts, this is practice, blah-blah-blah…

BUT - the Pats looked like day-old picnic trash all preseason, and barely any facet or aspect of their game, gameplan-free or not, looked good or exciting.  Sure there are some players who flashed some awesome, but otherwise they looked kinda feeble, and even if they’re just trying to shake the rust off and get ready you don’t wanna see your guys get bullied by anyone, anytime.  Which is all we really saw.

Cassel?  There’s a 4:00 pm Fung Wah bus with your name on it, bud.

Will they just flip that magic switch?  Or should we flip our own switch, turn the key and hit the PANIC BUTTON?

I’m not ready to, but I also fear some Super Bowl 42 hangover, and Father Time looming like a bad fart cloud over Gillette.

No need to push the panic button yet. the Pre-season means NADA.. Once TFB starts against the helpless Cheifs I think we’ll be PFH (Pretty F’n Happy) about the Pats chance in 2008
Hey Fitzy, do you think LaMont Jordan has found the perverbial fountain of youth in Foxboro? Last night was a good sign for him and a possible solid season.

I’ll get nervous if the Pats start losing once TFB, Moss, WWW, and Watson are playing every down.  Maroney needs to step up.  The D will come around.  Let’s not freak out yet.

Our pal, Michael Smith, said it best this morning on ESPN First Take: “Do you remember the Patriots’s preseason record from last year? No.” Then they kinda went on that eighteen-game bender and drove the Undefeatmobile into a tree oddly shaped like New Jersey. That’s all I’ll say in regards to that.

The Pats, unlike 99% of the league, don’t play preseason football to win games. Why tip your hand? They play it to test formations, run guys out there to see what they have, and I almost think they mail it in during the preseason intentionally. But that’s waaaaay too much psychology to apply to a football game.

It is not nearly equivalent to the amount of cheese danishes Eric Mangini applies to his waistline on a weekly basis.

Once we see Brady on the field we’ll have a pretty good indication of where this team is headed. I don’t know how good that offense will be starting off the season not having played with Brady all preseason at game speed. That and the OL could wind up taking a huge dump this year leaving TFB to sit back and turtle-head.

I’m hoping “Coach Bill” is the evil genius I give him credit for being.  I’m wankin’ myself to sleep at night telling myself it’s all part of his master plan to make people think we suck, right down to the phony Brady injury.  Just in case, I’ve got a fully stocked bar and some adult diapers ready for my season-long bender.

FAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHK!!!!!!!

Can’t fault the hit, really.  I get why some are questioning it, and I haven’t felt this bad about something like this since Nomaaaah went down like a Revere girl drinkin’ wine coolers.  This sucks ass, no two ways about it.  Eeesh… maybe Matt Cavanaugh would come out of retirement.
